PROGRESS WORCESTER - INDEPENDENT EXPENDITURE PAC

This is a local independent expenditure PAC organized and led by Worcester residents and business-owners who wanted to make sure that the progress and gains made locally weren't ignored this election season. PW endorsed a slate of candidates, and ALL of our endorsed incumbents won: Mayor Joe Petty, Councilors-At-Large Moe Bergman & Kate Toomey, and District 2 Councilor Candy Mero-Carlson. There was a lot of good news in Worcester last Tuesday: turnout increased more than 10% over 2021; negative campaigning by another local IE PAC failed to make an impact; and PW's decision to focus on digital advertising had a big impact in the final weeks.

PAT KEEFE FOR MAYOR OF REVERE

Pat is the second candidate for Mayor of Revere I worked for, and the second candidate for mayor who won his race, so I'm really personally proud of my 2-0 record! Earlier this year Pat had a big life change - he went from a part-time district councilor with a regular full time job to the full-time Acting Mayor running for a full 4 year term year. He talked about this on election night and since, but his win and more importantly the positive way he went about achieving it, could be a real turning point in a city that has been known for bare knuckle politics.

JUSTIN HURST FOR MAYOR OF SPRINGFIELD

Justin ran a great campaign for Mayor, beating fundraising goals, increasing turnout, and highlighting issues that have been in the shadows for years. He didn't win on election night, but he came the closest that any challenger has since the incumbent was sworn into office back in 2008. Justin's strong showing, combined with successes like Adam Gomez beating incumbent State Senator Jim Welch in '20, show that change will continue to come to Springfield.
